LnNor Multilingual Corpus Tutorialon WA YouTube channel

This tutorial provides a step-by-step guide through accessing and using the LnNor Corpus, a multlilingual data set created as part of the GRIEG-1 project „Across-domain investigations in multilingualism: Modeling L3 acquisition in diverse settings” (ADIM, PI: prof. Magdalena Wrembel). The LnNor corpus was collected to represent multilingual speech with a focus on L3/Ln Norwegian learners as well as native controls of Norwegian, English and Polish. The corpus is designed to study linguistic variation in learners acquiring Norwegian as a foreign language in instructed and naturalistic settings. Thanks to the follow-up project MultiBridge: Bridging the gap between research on multilingualism and society, the LnNor Corpus is now publicly available on the Hugging Face collaborative platform to make scientific research more accessible to a wider audience. The tutorial shows how to access the corpus, explore its structure and download it for use in research, language learning or AI applications. The MultiBridge project is part of Science & Society bilateral initiative in social sciences, arts and humanities financed by EEA Financial Mechanism and Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
